When should I book?

Now! Our schedule fills up fast and is first-come, first serve.

Due to Friday and Saturdays and holidays being optimal for sleepovers and weddings, we often book up months in advance.

We would hate for you to miss out.

How do I book?

Select your desired package then choose your date from our booking calendar, fill in our booking form, and we will return your enquiry within 24 hours

What is your cancellation policy?

If the Hirer cancels the booking, the Business reserves the right to charge the following.

Outside 30 days of booking date $20.00 processing fee.

30 -14 days of delivery date 25% of the invoice amount.

14 to 7 days from delivery date 50% of invoice amount 1 to 7 days from delivery date 100% of the invoice amount.

The Delivery date is usually the day of the function / booked date, unless otherwise specified.

What area do you serve

We are located in Baccus Marsh but service all West Melbourne right around to Werribee.

Are party planners only for the rich and famous?

Your event will be smart, be it casual or formal, traditional or more unique. Every choice is about experience – unexpected details wake guests up and put them into the room, as does simplicity when well executed. The service, the flow, the entertainment and lighting, every detail small and large – they all matter.

How is everything cleaned? (ie bedding etc)

All of the JoyCo bedding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for each sleepover.

All manchester are laundered after each hire using sensitive washing liquid.

Mattresses, cushions, and decorative items are always disinfected and spot cleaned when necessary.

We don’t use damaged items because we want everything to look amazing every time!

Is there a recommended age for a JoyCo kids slumber party?

Kids are normally ready to try slumber parties or sleepover parties from the age of 6 and above. Our packages are suitable for ages up to 13. Kids 6 and younger require additional supervision and assistance. Our teepees are not suitable for children under 4 years of age.

How long does it take to setup a a slumber party?

It depends on how many guests and tents are needed. To set up the teepee, mattress, and bedding, plus decorations, we allow for about an hour give or take.

How much space do I need?

Our Mega Teepee sleeps 5-6 and is best used when there is limited space. It measures at 2.4 x 2.4 meters and is just a bit bigger than a King Size Mattress.
Our individual tiny teepees need 2.2m depth and 1 metre width to be setup correctly. The required space for each of the following packages is as follows:

Party of 3 > Single Line Setup: 2.2m depth x 3.6m length, Teepee camp setup: 5m depth x 4m length
Party of 5 > Single Line Setup: 2.2m depth x 6.5m length, Teepee camp setup: 5m depth x5 m length
Party of 7> Single Line Setup:2m depth x 8.8m length, Teepee camp setup: 5m depth x 6m length
Party of 10 > Single Line Setup: 2.2m depth x 13m length, Teepee camp setup: 5m depth x 6.2m length

What payment is required?

We require a $100 deposit payment to secure your booking. A fully refundable security bond of $150 (cash) is also payable before delivery which will be refunded when we receive the style package back as long as the hired equipment is undamaged. The full balance of the party must be paid 14 days (2 weeks) before the booking date.

Can Teepees be used in outdoors?

Teepees can only be used outdoors under the following conditions:

• On a sunshine day (they are not waterproof and must be placed on dry ground)

• When outside is in an alfresco or verandah area.

• Additional mat is hired  ($30 per package) to place under the mattresses.

• Sprinklers, hoses, splash pools, etc. must not be used near Tiny Teepee hire equipment.

• All pets must be kept from contact with any Tiny Teepee hire equipment

Why do I have to be there when receiving?

We require the renter of Tiny Teepee or a designated adult over the age of 18 to sign the for the style package. You are required to inspect the Tiny Teepee and other hired decor to ensure nothing is damaged. After inspection, you must initial a release form verifying there is no damage.

When we reinspect the Tiny Teepee and decor. If no damages are found, you get your $150 security deposit immediately. If damages are found, the security deposit will not be returned or will be pro-rated at our staff’s discretion.

Damages to Tiny Teepee and other decor include:

• Has been moved outside between the months of March and November

• Has been moved outside where there is no verandah or fully-covered area

• Has been torn/slashed/ripped

• Has come into contact with pets or water

• Additional mat removed from under mattresses outdoorsn• Additional children used the mattresses/decor which caused subsequent damages

• Broken/damaged trays, decor

Do I need to supply power?

No, our decorative string lights are solar and battery powered. (We will leave you extra batteries.)

Do you cater for boys?

Yes we do! We have neutral and boy themed fabrics and accessories and are adding more all the time. If you don”t initially see what you are looking for. Ask us.

Are the teepees waterproof?

No.
